Business Development Representative (BDR)

Apply NowThis position offers a unique opportunity for those who seek opportunities for advancement in a team-based environment. The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for prospecting, qualifying potential customers, and scheduling demos in their territory. Variable compensation is based on attainment vs territory quota targets, shared with the Account Executive in each territory. This role reports to the Sales Director and offers a competitive salary plus commission. Please include a resume when applying! There is a $2,000 Sign-on bonus! This position is on-site at our Richardson, TX office. On target total first year compensation typically ranges $40K-$55K.
The Business Development Representative is responsible for all activities required to generate leads and set appointments (demos) from our list of contacts, including:
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities: maintaining regular outbound email and phone outreach to schools and school districts following a provided list of contacts in his/her assigned territory, with ~150 phone calls per day
- Contact all inbound trialists
- Qualify prospective customers
- Provide a basic product overview to prospects
- Schedule demos with prospective customers
- Generate interest to drive demo attendance
- Support demos as needed to hit ACV targets
Required Skills
- Experience working in a Mac environment
- Experience working remotely
- 3+ years of experience supporting sales in SaaS, EdTech, or an inside selling organization.
- Highly organized and ability to hit activity targets
- Strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in a remote environment.
- Personable, dynamic, energetic and ambitious personality, able to establish trust.
- Phone-based sales experience
- Tenacious follow up and strong work ethic.
Compensation Package
- Competitive Base Salary and Commission
